As daily users of our user interface, you are surely asking yourself what we can actually teach our AI and what we can't.
One thing is certain: AI is not creative.
What does that mean? The AI can only recognize, validate and extract information that can be found on the document. Anything that is not on the document is considered unrecognizable.
- For example: if the document contains the order number 1234, the AI can detect this order number and will extract it in the same way. However, if during the verification you notice that before this order number the letters AB, i.e. AB1234 should be entered, the AI will not learn this change.
- Why? Because this information is not on the document. Therefore, the AI cannot recognize this order number.
Whether the information is unique depends on your customers. It is easier for the AI to detect information if you upload documents that are easy to read. So our AI is only as good as the data.
Also, it is important that you maintain their master data well and if there are any changes to it, update the master data stored in Workist via their account. Our AI gets better when we feed it with the information you share. You will additionally save a lot of time manually typing up the orders if you upload a lot of documents at the very beginning. This way, the AI has already seen, and processed, many of your documents, and is able to better handle future documents.
